Introducing Our Takeback Programme

At Esska, we've always believed that great shoes should be made to last.

We carefully design every pair with quality, comfort and timeless style in mind, creating shoes you'll love wearing season after season. But sustainability isn't only about how a product is made, it's also about what happens when you've finished wearing it.

That's why we're excited to introduce the 'Esska Takeback Programme', helping your pre-loved shoes find a second life instead of ending up in landfill.

Our Sustainability Journey

Over the last few years, we've taken important steps to better understand and reduce our environmental impact.

In May 2025, we began measuring our annual carbon footprint and took steps to offset it.

In May 2026, we repeated the process to track our progress and continue building a clearer picture of our impact. Again, we offset our carbon footprint.

Alongside measuring our emissions and investing in carbon offsetting initiatives, we're constantly looking for ways to reduce waste and keep products in use for longer.

The Takeback Programme is the next step in that journey.

Why We're Doing This

Most shoes that end up in the bin still have plenty of life left in them.

Whether they've been worn for a few seasons, no longer fit your style, or simply don't get as much wear as they used to, many shoes can be cleaned, repaired and enjoyed by someone else.

By extending the life of a product, we can help reduce waste, keep valuable materials in circulation and minimise the environmental impact associated with producing new items.

How the Esska Takeback Programme Works

We've partnered with Reskinned, a circular fashion company, to make the process as simple as possible. 

1. Register Your Shoes

Visit our Takeback page and submit the pair you'd like to return.

2. Package Them Up

Use any box or bag you already have at home, and pack them securely.

3. Send Them Off

Drop your parcel at your nearest shipping point. Full instructions are provided during the process.

4. We Give Them a New Future

Once Reskinned receives your shoes, every pair is carefully assessed.

If they can be rehomed, they'll go through:

• Quality checks
• Repairs where needed
• Professional cleaning
• Ozone room sanitisation, a chemical-free process that refreshes and sanitises footwear

Then they're ready to be loved by someone new.

If a pair has truly reached the end of its wearable life, the materials will be recycled and used in something new.

Nothing goes to waste.
