The Esska Party Shoe for Christmas

So the party season is upon us, whether it is work christmas parties, drinks or even preparing for new years eve. We have different styles to match the different moods... all with a touch of sparkle..

Our statement party must-have this season is style Zadie, a slip on boot with a comfy, stacked heel. The metallic adds shimmer to your outfit and is sure to turn heads.

We will be wearing ours with skinny jeans or an oversized dress.

If the party is a little more casual, then opt for our flats and mid heels, all have a touch of glitter..

Happy Hallooween!

Happy Halloween!

This Halloween we will be wearing anything rusty, a tan colour with a punch of orange and a wearable colour that makes your feet stand out from the crowd (in a good way!) We also have a new addition this week of Sila Rusty, a bestselling winter boot which is lightweight and flexible in our rusty colour with a grey outsole. Our personal favourtie in the office!

No tricks just treats! Be safe and have a happy Halloween!

How to wear the new A/W collection!

As the last of the summer sun is upon us, we all start to cling onto our sandals before the rain and cold start to set in. At the Esska office we have been choosing our go to shoes from our brand new collection, whether you are working, doing the school run or just ready to let your hair down! All available on our website and in a range of sizes, which style will you be buying this autumn?

How to wear style India

At the office we wear style India with everything in our wardrobe, whether it's at work, meeting up with friends at the weekend or a dressier occasion where you can wear flats. Here is our guide to how we will be wearing India this summer..

The Esska Trainer- Volt

A spring wardrobe staple and our very first trainer style which is ideal for everyday casual wear. Volt features a combination of a metallic leather and suede in a muted taupe and dark silver colour, making it easy to match with any outfit! Volt was designed as a casual trainer which offers both Combine with jeans to do the school run or with a summer tapered trouser to give a cool casual look. We are sure that Volt will be you go to casual shoe to wear all year round!

Summer '16 colour inspiration

We have gone bold this season with our colours don't you think? When looking at the board the yellow, rusty and coral are popping out and make the colour palette sing! But then, isn't colour what Esska is all about (and the comfort of course... and the stylish designs... and...). The last summer seasons we were all about pastels, and we loved them too, but we wanted to inject some fun back in the game and we managed to create a fresh & happy looking collection while being 'grown up' and 'sophisticated'. But it isn't all 'look at me',  by combining pop colours with neutrals like a lovely nude or taupe we managed to calm the palette down, and we still love mixing tonal leathers... we haven't gone completely crazy here at Esska HQ!

Stand out this spring in rusty & navy

Esska wouldn't be Esska if we didn't have a striking colour combo in our collection! And for this summer it is a zesty metallic with a dark navy suede. We are completely in love with it, and as it seems so are you!!

Soon we will tell you more about our colour inspiration for summer '16...

The Esska edit - spring

The cold wintery months are slowly disappearing and before you know it, it will soon be Spring. So here at Esska we have chosen what shoes we would want for each occasion in our planners, see if you agree!

Sita, your perfect spring shoe

Freshen up your spring look with our cool flat shoe which is ideal for everyday casual wear. Sita features a t-bar design, an easy velcro fastening and a comfortable low heel with a trend style chunky sole. Choose between classic colours navy or taupe. The leather & suede combination and slightly pointed toe shape make this style elegant & stylish, we are certain Sita will soon be your go to shoe!

New wallets in fresh summer colours!

Our new 'Mika' wallets have arrived in very summery pop colours. We just love them and want to have them all, for every occasion a colour! Which is your favourite?

Esska Loves: Monling Lee

This week we celebrate the unique style of Washington based architect Monling Lee. We fell in love with her Color Index series on Instagram, featuring outfits inspired by design colour palettes. Each of her images catches your eye immediately as vibrant pieces from Lee’s wardrobe work together to create a sartorial masterpiece. Clean and contemporary shapes elevate each look, not just in the clothes themselves but also through backdrops of urban and architectural landscapes. Ultimately it leaves us in awe of her creativity. We definitely recommend you have a look for yourself through her website or instagram for some inspiration on brightening up your own sense of style !

Our ELDS picks

The East London Design show has come to an end... we had a lovely time and were so happy to hear customers came especially to buy themselves a new pair of Esska shoes!! Every year we have so much fun, and we meet so many nice people visiting. Also, it gives us a chance to look out for Christmas presents and treat ourselves too! The ELDS is the perfect place to find out about new little brands and their products. Our neighbouring stand was Epoh-Ireti, they make scented candles from only organic ingredients, the packaging is biodegradable and even the labels are printed with soy ink! And of course they smell amazing; our personal favourite is the subtle aroma 'Vanilla & Black pepper'.

Something completely different now, pizza! Uuni sells wood-fired ovens for outdoor use, perfect for in the garden or to bring on a camping trip. Ours has already been delivered, so we know what's on the menu today!!

As you probably know by now, here at Esska, we love our geometric shapes and there are plenty to find at Sophie Home on the cushions and throws, we love the boldness of the prints & colours, a couple of those would definitely suit our office!

Next, we completely fell in love with the 'tools' from jewellery brand Whitebeam Studio, the charms even come in a cute little toolbox! They should add some shoe making tools to their range, don't you agree?

At the end of the show the lovely people from The Flour Station gave us some mince pies, and my oh my, they must be the best mince pies we've ever tasted. Luckily they have a stand at various food markets all around London, need to get us some!

We are already looking forward to next year’s edition!

Our AW14 favourites

Our new collection has finally arrived and the Esska team members have chosen their favourite styles:

Souraya has chosen Astro in Navy suede as her favourite style of the season. She is a busy mum and director of Esska so she needs to be able to run around whilst looking stylish for last minute meetings.

Naadu can't get enough of style East in Black & Khaki for winter. This high heeled boot is perfect for our brand coordinator who loves styles that take her straight from the office to a night out with ease and comfort.

Our design assistant Noura's favourite style this season is Jinn. She loves the simplicity of this boot and how easy it is to wear. She will be teaming her Jinn's with skinny jeans and tee's for a relaxed work look.

Which style will be your favourite?

Happy summer flats!

Sandal time!

The sun is out ladies! Time to show your feet off in our stylish Esska sandals, whether going for a relaxing stroll, a day out shopping or an evening night out, we have it all, the choice is yours!! Have a look here for more styles and colours.

Sensing Spaces

Exhibition at the Royal academy of arts london

We went to see 'Sensing Spaces: Architecture Reimagined' at the Royal Academy of Arts and it was amazing! Most architecture exhibitions consist of drawings and scaled models, but Sensing Spaces was a feast for our senses! You could literally feel the pieces and even transform and smell them. 7 architects from around the world were asked to create unique spaces for us to experience them, which resulted in life-size installations. It was really nice to see how every architect has found his/her own aspect of architect to highlight. This exhibition is worth a visit! But be quick as it ends Sunday 6th of April!! For more information:

We love Aubrie Costello!!

Would you like to have a wall tagged with some 'Silk Graffiti'? Aubrie Costello is your woman for the job! Philadelphia based artist Aubrie found her inspiration in the street graffiti culture of her city. By piercing nails into shredded ribbons of silk she creates beautiful wall art. She describes her work as: "A commentary on a hyper masculine graffiti culture. It gives a feminine, domestic twist to the otherwise predominately male-centric act of graffiti writing". And this is true, the words and the way her graffiti looks, is very feminine, but at the same time filled with a certain power. We would love to have a wall in our office tagged, but due to 'lack of free wall', Souraya received a nice package with a tagged tank top!

Aubries artwork consist of more than just the graffiti, she does performances, installations and loves to do collaborations. Her website is definitely worth a visit!

Hello Paul Smith!

'Hello, my name is Paul Smith', the new exhibition at the Design Museum is definitely a go to! The exhibition takes you on a tour into the world of Paul Smith, starting from the very beginning to the label's success it is now and will offer a unique insight into his magnificent mind. Explore the different stages of design and production behind a collection, the collaborations and take a look behind the scenes with reconstructions of his office and studio.

For those who can't get enough, why not go for the big tour 'Behind the scenes - Paul Smith'? You will learn how the Design Museum planned the exhibition and will be shown round Paul Smith's London HQ!

Our Premiere Classe favourites

We were in Paris a few weeks ago showing at the trade show ‘Premiere Classe’. Whilst having a look around we spotted some brands we loved and have highlighted some of them. We adored the paper jewellery of Sandra Di Giacinto, the gorgeous handbags of Delphine Conty, the cutest Haflinger children’s slippers, the beautiful sophisticated jewellery from Anne Thomas, and of course not to forget an updated version of Esska‘s best selling style Hanya for next winter in aubergine patent!

Product of the week “REEM”

Reem is such an elegant lace up ankle boot for every day wear. We love wearing it under a romantic looking dress or with skinnies. The unique platform wedge is an eye-catcher which makes heads turn round. The subtle thick stitching on the sides is another added feature that makes this shoe stand out from the crowd without shouting for attention.

The lovely soft colour combination goes with about anything and is something different than the usual suspects black and brown.

Do I need to say more? Reem is definitely a style to go for!
